Access to the reading room and consultation of documents
You are carrying out documentary research for a dissertation, thesis, publication or exhibition and you would like to consult the Mundaneum’s collections? Some inventories can be consulted in our online catalogue. Click here to see the list.
For the others, we invite you to contact our archivists who will help you find your way around.
Documents can be consulted in our reading room upon appointment, Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm. The cost of the reader’s card is €5 per year.
Loan of documents
Are you preparing an exhibition and looking for historical documents to illustrate it? Our archives and collections of newspapers, postcards, posters, glass plates and small documents contain thousands of documents on a wide range of subjects. The Mundaneum is happy to lend documents to exhibitions.
This loan is subject to certain conditions (mandatory insurance, compliance with storage conditions, surveillance, etc.).

Remote searches
We can carry out remote searches on request. The price is €30 per hour. Requests for research are subject to a prior feasibility assessment; they are limited to 2 hours and are payable in advance. The price does not include reproductions of documents.
A flat-rate surcharge of €50 will be applied in urgent cases (less than 15 working days deadline).
